PROPHETSTOWN – Arthur C. Eltrevoog, 90, of Prophetstown, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown. He was a truck scale operator for the Colorado Department of Transportation in Lamar, Colo.

Arthur was born May 3, 1921, in Plattville, the son of Andrew and Kristine (Myre) Eltrevoog. He served in the Army. He married Jane C. Stone on Aug. 29, 1943, in Ottawa. She preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 1985.

He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Congregational Church in Hooppole.

Survivors include one daughter, Valerie (Richard) Butler of Murphy, N.C.; several grandchildren; one sister, Helen (Glen) P. Marten, and three brothers, G. Howard Eltrevoog, Truman J. Eltrevoog and Orville A. (Dolores) Eltrevoog, all of Ottawa.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kathleen Ebersole; one son, Leon Eltrevoog; one sister, Bertha M. Eltrevoog in infancy; and three brothers, Ebert N. Eltrevoog, Lawrence B. Eltrevoog and Barney M. Eltrevoog.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., Thursday at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, with the Rev. Andy Ploenzke, pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Prophetstown. officiating. Burial with graveside military honors will be at Hooppole Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established to WDLM – Moody Radio Broadcast.
