Arnold E. Myers
POLO – Arnold E. Myers, 73, of Polo, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, in Avon Park, Fla. He was a real estate broker.
He was born in Forreston to Ellis and Ethel (Freeman) Myers. He was a winter visitor to Avon Park for 10 years, coming from Polo.
He was a member of Spirit of Life Ministries in Sebring, Fla., and Open Bible Church in Polo.
He enjoyed fishing. He loved life, and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dog and best friend, Casey.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sylvia Myers of Avon Park; children, Sandi (Bob) Schoff of Walnut, Amy (Jules Zuidema) Milby of Morrison, Tom Myers of Dixon, Debbie (Keith Jr.) Cassens of Sterling, Sue Myers of Lanark and Jaci (Bill) Kousoulas of Sycamore; brothers, Jim Myers of Rockford and winters in Sebring, and Rich Myers of Belvidere; sister, Jane (Hank) Wohrley of Dixon and winters in Bonita Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Amanda Bertolozzi, Jennifer Jacobs, Jason Cassens, Chris Garza and Kali Rocco; great-grandchildren, Andrew Jacobs, Jade Cassens, Lexie Jacobs, Reina Yount and Hunter Bertolozzi; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Mincey; and a sister, Carol Myers.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Knoll Community Center in Avon Park. A memorial service will be at a later date in Polo. Arrangements were completed by Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park.
