ROCK FALLS – Adrian L. Johnson, 67, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

He was born May 28, 1944, in Dixon, the son of Daniel B. and Helen (Janssen) Johnson. He married his grade school sweetheart and lifelong love, Sharon Dickey, on April 18, 1964, at First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling. He was a veteran of the Air Force. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing and coffee with family and friends at Friendship House Restaurant. 

Most of all, he loved his family and watching his children and grandchildren in sporting events. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rock Falls.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon of Rock Falls; his children, Adrian Lee (Angie) Johnson Jr., Sharon Marie (Chuck) Hoover, Shawn (Charisse) Johnson, William Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Joshua (Amanda) Johnson, Jeremiah (Cari) Johnson, Jedidiah (Cari) Johnson, Matthias Johnson and Isaiah (Melinda) Johnson; 38 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard (Jane) Johnson, Edward (Carol) Johnson and Ross (Theresa) Johnson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Daniel Boone Johnson Jr.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Henrietta Milner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
