STERLING – Four headstones were damaged Wednesday after a Sterling woman lost control of her car and crashed through Riverside Cemetery.

Jennifer A. Leesman, 29, was driving west on East 13th Street and was approaching Asbury Avenue about 2:09 p.m. when she left the roadway, crashed through the fence, and came to a stop about 100 feet into the cemetery, according to police.

Leesman was not injured. She was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and posted her driver’s license as bond.
