Small business workshop coming

FULTON – COLORS, an interactive workshop will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Fulton City Hall, Council Chamber, 415 11th Ave. The workshop will help local and potential business owners understand how interaction and communication with customers and co-workers can affect marketing, merchandising, managing and interpersonal communication. It also will help business owners to understand their own leadership style.

Terry Feinberg of University of Illinois Extension will be the instructor. The cost is $5 and includes materials and light refreshments.

The project is coordinated by the Morrison Chamber of Commerce, Prophetstown Mainstreet Program, Fulton Chamber of Commerce and Whiteside County Enterprise Zone Administrator, with help from the Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University and funding from U.S. Departments of Agriculture Rural Development.
