Manning football up for auction

DIXON – The featured silent auction item at this year’s Stupor Bowl trivia contest is an official National Football League football signed by Eli Manning, quarterback of the 2012 Super Bowl-bound New York Giants.

The silent auction will feature dozens of other items as well, including a movie night basket, a Mary Kay basket, a Cook’s Corner basket and a Kindle Touch gift basket with an Amazon gift card. Bidding will end at 1 p.m.

The contest begins with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. Saturday at Reagan Middle School, 620 Division St. The first round of matches starts about 8:45 a.m. The last match will begin around 2:30 or 3 p.m., with awards presented at 4 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Dixon Schools Foundation.
