Today

DRUG CASE: Tina L. Cartuccio, 35, of Amboy; charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Police say that a raid on Cartuccio’s house on Oct. 13 turned up heroin, cocaine, spoons with drug residue, and hypodermic needles, and that she and four others were doing drugs in the house.

She also is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance in another case. Police say she sold cocaine to an informant in August 2010.

On the docket: Set for a plea.

Wednesday

ARMED ROBBERY CASE: Jacob N. Cecil, 33, of Dixon; charged with armed robbery, carrying/possessing a concealed gun, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and unlawful use of weapons. Police say Cecil, masked and armed with a sawed-off shot gun, robbed two convenience stores in June 2006. He was sentenced to 60 years in 2008, but was granted a new trial in October.

On the docket: Pretrial conference, during which the judge and attorneys will discuss matters concerning the case and set a trial schedule.

Thursday

DRUG CASE: Daniel D. Walker, 22, of Dixon; charged with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance. Police say Walker sold cocaine to an informant in September.

On the docket: Pretrial conference.

Whiteside County

Thursday

BURGLARY CASE: Joseph D. Brooks, 19, and Frederick J. Snapp, 18, both of Sterling; each charged with burglary and unlawful consumption of liquor as a minor. Police say they and a 16-year-old boy broke into a Sterling liquor store Feb. 1 and stole cigarettes and alcohol.

On the docket: Preliminary hearing, at which evidence is presented to the judge to determine whether there is enough to justify a trial.
