ROCKFORD – Laura Dean Zanocco Riney, 63, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Laura was born May 17, 1948, in Rockford, the daughter of Angelo and Adeline Zanocco. She was a 1966 graduate of Boylan High School. She was a dedicated teacher for 41 years, 33 of them for the Rockford Diocese. Laura enjoyed playing games, completing puzzles and reading books, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly (Mike) Feary of St. Louis; sons, Jeff (Noelle) of Chicago and Jason (Gina) of St. Louis; grandchildren, Rowan, Vaughn, Samantha, Jackson and Andrew; brother, John (Jonie) of Rockford; sister, Linda (Bill) Vosik of Kearney, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the memorial Mass at 11 a.m., Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford. Family burial will be private. Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home Riverside Chapel in Rockford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
