Ash Wednesday service scheduled

DIXON – An Ash Wednesday service will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 421 S. Peoria Ave.

The service will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.

At 7 p.m. every Wednesday during Lent, a Taize prayer service will be at the church. Taize is a simple service of prayer, meditation and songs. Soup and sandwiches will be served at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted.
