‘Mister Roberts’ ahoy!
BYRON – “Mister Roberts,” a rowdy, humorous saga of a group of American sailors aboard a Navy cargo vessel in the Pacific during WWII, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Byron Civic Theatre, 850 N. Colfax.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $6 for students at www.bctmagic.com, tickets@bctmagic.com or at the BCT box office, 815-312-3000, from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The play runs again next weekend.

Karaoke and bags
DIXON – The public is invited to VFW Post 540’s Blind Draw Bags Tournament starting at 7 tonight. (It was postponed last week because of the weather.)
Admission is $10, partners will be drawn for the double-elimination tourney. Cash prizes will be give to first through third places.
Karaoke also starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free to singers and bags spectators.
