Have you been
starting all season?

In our first tournament I didn’t start, because I didn’t know all the plays yet. But after that I’ve been starting.

Did you expect
to start as a freshman?

I don’t know. We have a lot of good players. I just tried to fit in, and I got the starting job.

Are you comfortable
playing at the varsity level?

I played AAU ball in the summer and played against guys that are bigger than this [Newman, who Milledgeville played on Wednesday], so it doesn’t really bother me.

Hobbies?

I play football and baseball. That’s about it. It’s pretty much all sports.

What positions
do you play in football?

Wide receiver and quarterback.

.

How about positions
in baseball?

Everywhere except catcher.

Favorite sport?

Definitely basketball.

Favorite music?

Hip-hop and rap. I don’t really have any favorites.

Favorite foods?

Pepperoni pizza and berry crunch cereal.

Future?

I’d like to be a personal trainer.

Any siblings?

We have a player living with us from the Sauk Valley Predators [semi-pro basketball team],
Desmond Holloway. I call him my brother.

Have you learned
some things from him?

Oh yeah. We play basketball a lot. It’s fun. It’s a good experience. We hang out a lot. He helps me out with my free throws.

Favorite subject?

Any math. Right now I’m taking Algebra I.
