4 arrested on meth charges in Thomson

THOMSON – A traffic stop led to the arrest Thursday of four people on charges related to the making of methamphetamine.

Two Hanover men, Jamie L. Willoughby, 32, and Terrence Hudson, 38, were arrested Thursday during a traffic stop in Thomson.

During further investigation, a search warrant was obtained for a home on the 1000 block of North Street in Thomson. There, two people from Thomson were arrested – Jay A. Morlock, 28, and Jennifer L. Moore.

All were in the Carroll County Jail and had their first court appearances scheduled for Friday.

Morlock and Moore each were charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing – less than 15 grams, a Class X felony, with a possible prison sentence of 6 to 30 years. They each also received felony charges of possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and possession of methamphetamine – less than 5 grams.

Morlock and Moore also face misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis – less than 2.5 grams.

Willoughby and Hudson each face felony charges of with possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and methamphetamine precursor.

Willoughby also has misdemeanor charges of possession of cannabis – less than 2.5 grams – and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to appear, driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Hudson also was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol.

The Thomson Police were assisted by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, the Chadwick and Savanna police departments, the Illinois State Meth Response Team, Blackhawk Area Task Force, and the Thomson Fire Department.
