Senior Mackenzie Piller, 17, of Amboy, is AFC High School’s November Student of the Month. Her parents are Scott, 43, and Shari Piller, 41. Her brother is Mayrick, 12.
Favorite class: British literature.
Top teacher: Kim Toole, English teacher, and Denise Coffman, chorus.
Extracurriculars: Student council, National Honor Society, student government, yearbook, book club, musical, chorus.
After graduation: Attend Sauk Valley Community College for 2 years, then go to Northern Illinois University to major in elementary education.
Paycheck: Baby-sitting for Chris and Lisa Jahn.
Best friends: Lisa LeFevre, Sarah Matson, Michael Hussey and my boyfriend, Brian Treadwell.
Favorite musical groups: Casting Crowns, Need to Breathe, Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan.
