FULTON – Marian A. Meinsma, 89, of Fulton, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton. She worked at Climco in Morrison and later at the former Patent Novelty Company in Fulton.
Marian was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Sterling, the daughter of Herman E.A. and Amelia (Machamer) Beveroth. She married Henry C. Meinsma on Feb. 5, 1941, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2009. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Dan) Holesinger of Fulton and Susan (Dean) Buhlig of North Platte, Neb.; five sons, Gerald (Marcia) Meinsma and Kenneth Meinsma, both of Morrison, James (Jody) Meinsma of Middleburgh, N.Y., and Donald Meinsma and Darrell (Sally) Meinsma, both of Fulton; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Herman (Leora) Beveroth of Sterling and Herbert (Judy) Beveroth of Rock Falls. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Meinsma; four sisters, Dorothy Klitz, Althea Badtke, Lois Kelley and Onlie Walmsley; and one brother, Marvin Beveroth. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Fulton.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Reformed Church in Fulton, with the Rev. Edie Lenz, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. Visit www.bosmarenkes.com to send condolences.
