Area women to speak in Fulton

FULTON – Kamalini Kumar of Clinton, Iowa, will share her experiences as an immigrant from India to Wilder Winter Wednesday participants at 9 a.m. Feb. 15 at the Windmill Cultural Center, 111 10th Ave.

Kumar, the director of clinical and professional development at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, will highlight her adventures as a woman raised in India, but spending most of her life in Canada and the U.S.

At 9 p.m. Feb. 22, Pam VanZuiden, formerly of Fulton, will present “Cross-Country Biking” at the center.

She biked from coast to coast, with a break to ride in the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.

Both programs are free. Refreshments will be served. Funding was provided by a grant from the D.S. Flikkema Foundation.
