Girl Scout cookies stolen from van in Illinois

BLOOMINGTON (AP) — Police in central Illinois say someone broke into a locked van and stole 60 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

The Pantagraph in Bloomington reports Wednesday (http://bit.ly/wD2WoP) that the thefts happened sometime between late Monday and early Tuesday. Bloomington Police spokesman Dave White says the van was ransacked. The cookies are valued at $240. White says nothing else was missing from the vehicle.

Bloomington police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
