Rock Falls chamber plans annual dinner

ROCK FALLS – The Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce 57th annual meeting and dinner will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Rock Falls Hotel & Conference Center, 2105 First Ave.

The Shoulder to the Wheel Awards also will be announced. The Meritorious Award will be given for the first time since 1999.

Registration forms are available at www.rockfallschamber.com in the news section.

Reservations are due by Wednesday, and can be made by emailing bland@rockfallschamber.com or calling the chamber at 815-625-4500. Tickets are $25 each.

In other news, the Chamber’s Ambassador Club officers elected during its January meeting are Joan Hermes, chairwoman; Darla Schryver, treasurer; and Debbie Flannery, secretary.

The club assists with ribbon cuttings, business after hours and various events throughout the year. Members meet at noon on the second Tuesday of each month at various restaurants in Rock Falls and Sterling.
