BP now a Phillips 66

STERLING – The gas station and Super Pantry at 2210 E. Locust St. is now a Phillips 66 station.

The former BP station converted Jan. 11, manager Lori Spotts said.

The Subway restaurant will stay, prices will remain the same and no changes are expected, Spotts said.

American-Thai restaurant closes

DIXON – Frittsy no longer is cooking up American-Thai food at 844 N. Galena Ave.

The restaurant went out business last month.

Beauty supply store open at new location

STERLING – CosmoProf has opened at its new location, 3211 E. Lincolnway, Sterling.

The store, which sells beauty products to salon professionals, was at the other end of Lincoln Center at 3201 E. Lincolnway.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts is expected to open a store at CosmoProf's former spot.

New Edward Jones broker

ROCK FALLS – A new Edward Jones Investments office opened in Rock Falls in September.

Broker Sam Meier works out of the office at 102 E. Route 30, Suite 2. His number is  815-535-0776.

Susan Lyon already has an office at 907 W. U.S. Route 30. Her number is 815-626-4822.
