DIXON – The wife of convicted killer Nicholas T. Sheley pleaded not guilty Wednesday to stealing a credit card from a Franklin Grove man and using it to buy more than $300 in goods.

Holly E. Sheley, 33, of Oregon, is charged with possession of a stolen credit card. She is free on bond; her pretrial conference is Feb. 16.

The card, stolen in September, was used to buy items at local stores and online, police said.

Nicholas Sheley, 32, of Sterling, was convicted in September of killing a Galesburg man in late June 2008. He also is charged with seven other deaths in Illinois and Missouri.
