Guist scholarship applicants sought

OREGON – The Oregon Rotary Foundation will offer scholarships to college students living in the boundaries of Oregon Community School District.

Hollie J. Guist Jr., scholarship chairman, will accept letters from scholarship applicants through Feb. 17.

Letters should be sent to Guist Agency Inc., P.O. Box 296, Oregon, IL 61061. Include the name of the school and major area of study, class standing, cumulative GPA, extracurricular activities while in college and any other information they feel is relevant.

Applicants must have completed at least 1 year at a 4-year college, a 2-year college or a trade school.

A candidate’s financial need or financial status will not be factors.
