RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY CASE: Jennifer M. Cook, 37, of Sterling; charged with three counts of residential burglary. Police say Cook and two others burglarized a home in the 100 block of Harmon Road in Harmon on May 10, and one in the 700 block of Sterling Road in Harmon and one in rural Harmon, both on May 23.
She faces similar charges in Boone and Whiteside counties.

BATTERY CASE: William M. Drew, 30, of Dixon; charged with misdemeanor battery. Police say he and two other men beat a downtown bar owner in his bar on Sept. 25.
On the docket: Pretrial conference, during which the judge and attorneys will discuss matters concerning the case and set a trial schedule.
DOMESTIC BATTERY CASE: Andrew C. Fassler, 40, of Dixon; charged with aggravated domestic battery, a felony. Police say that on Oct. 1, 2009, Fassler threw his then 9-year-old son down the stairs and broke his arm.
He also is charged with criminal damage to property and battery, both misdemeanors, in an unrelated case. Police say that on May 9, Fassler got into a fight with a man in front of his house, took a camera off the man’s neck and threw it into a wooded area.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY CASE: Lesa L. Fenton, 43, of Dixon; charged with residential burglary and criminal trespass to a residence. Police say Fenton broke into a home in the 600 block of Douglas Avenue on Nov. 26 and stole various items.
On the docket: Arraignment, in which a defendant is formally charged with an offense.
DRUG CASE: Brandon E. Gill, 22, of Dixon; charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, and two counts each of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police say Gill sold crack cocaine to an informant in September.

BURGLARY CASE: Craig A. Kehl, 39, of Dixon; charged with two counts of residential burglary. Police say Kehl broke into a neighbor’s house in the 300 block of Madison Avenue on March 13 and April 16 and stole TVs, a DVD player and DVDs.

HOME INVASION/RAPE CASE: Jeffrey K. Mischler, 26, of Hinckley; charged with home invasion and criminal sexual assault.
Police say Mischler broke into a Dixon woman’s house on May 26 and had raped her while she was passed out after a night of drinking.

HOME INVASION/ARMED ROBBERY CASE: Christopher C. Owens, 19, of Dixon; charged with home invasion, armed robbery, armed violence, criminal trespass to a residence and misdemeanor counts of unlawful use of weapons and criminal damage to property.
Police say Owens, armed with a streak knife, kicked in the front door of a house in the 600 block of West First Street on Thanksgiving and took money from several people inside.

THEFT CASE: Robert Ross, 19, of Genoa; charged with theft of between $500 and $10,000 and criminal trespass to a vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police say that on Oct. 16, Ross and another man looted a twice-burned house on Palmyra Road on Dixon.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY/TRESPASSING CASE: Erik J. Morales, 26, of Sterling; charged with criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a residence. Police say an intoxicated Morales mistakenly broke into a Sterling home in the 100 block East Eighth Street Dec. 4 and was confronted by the armed homeowner.
On the docket: Arraignment.
CHILD EXPLOITATION/SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE: Christopher W. Vaughn, 19, of Franklin Grove; charged with two counts each of predatory criminal sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a child. Police say Vaughn had sex with a 12-year-old girl “in the presence” of another 12-year-old on June 15.

DRUG CASE: Daniel D. Walker, 22, of Dixon; charged with two counts each of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park; unlawful delivery of a controlled substance; and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police say Walker sold cocaine to an informant in September.
