MORRISON – Now that its investigation is over, the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department has cited a Rock Falls motorcyclist injured in an accident near Erie in October with failure to reduce speed and improper passing.

Mark L. Watts, 54, was southbound on Albany Road at the westbound ramp of Interstate 88 around 6:21 p.m. Oct. 11 when he hit a median, went into a ditch, hit a road sign and was thrown onto the roadway. He was treated at Illini Hospital in Silvis.

Watts also was cited for having no insurance and for failing to report his change of address.
