Lindsay Boyd, 25, of Rock Falls, is the assistant manager at Fashion Bug, Sterling, where she handles training, advertisements, and other duties. She is the daughter of Dori Boyd of Rock Falls and Tom Boyd of Hawaii, and has two sisters, Amy Boyd, 20, and Taylor Boyd, 18, both of Rock Falls, and a boyfriend, Mike Breed, 28, of Sterling.

On-the-job lesson: Treat everybody with kindness.

Alma mater: I graduated in 2002 from Rock Falls High School. I went to Sauk Valley Community College, and I’m taking online classes through Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa, to get my bachelor’s degree in business.

Philosophy: The Golden Rule.

Oughta be a law: There’d be no capital punishment.

Hearts: Going out with friends, going to parks, traveling and “The Office.”

Haunts: Friends’ houses.

Heroes: My mom and dad, for being strong, and their hard work and patience.

First job: I was a waitress at a restaurant in a Days Inn in Orlando, Fla., when I was 15. I liked it, especially the tips.

First car: A 1989 Pontiac Grand Am when I was 17.

People say I look like: A young Sally Field, or Christina Ricci.

Guilty pleasure: Procrastination.

I’d like to meet: Martin Luther King Jr.

Trading places: I’d like to be an actress, to see what it’s like.

Trading spaces: I’d like to go backpacking around Europe.

Best thing about Rock Falls: All my family’s there.
