Michelle Fassler, 24, an office clerk at the Dixon Water Department, lives in Dixon with her husband, Stephen, 24. Michelle is the daughter of Mike Wolfe and Chris Wolfe, both of Dixon, and has two sisters, Melydy Huyett, 26, of Dixon, and Sarah Reid, 25, of New Jersey.

On-the-job lesson: You never know what you’ll get as far as customers. Always approach people as nicely as you can, because they might be having a bad day.

Alma mater: I graduated in 2005 from Dixon High School and earned an associate of science degree from Sauk Valley Community College.

Philosophy: Where there is love there is life.

Hearts: Riding horses with my husband, going for walks, some gardening, scrapbooking and  “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

Darts: Indecisive drivers and litterbugs.

Haunts: My house, with friends and family, and boating on the river.

Hero: My dad. He’s such a good role model.

First job: I was a busgirl at Fern’s Cafe in Dixon when I was 14. I liked it.

First car: A Hyundai Sonata when I was 16.

People say I look like: My sister, Melydy.

Phobias: Snakes and mice.

Guilty pleasure: Dark chocolate.

I’d like to meet: Oprah Winfrey.

Trading spaces: I’d like to visit Europe for the culture.

Best thing about Dixon: It’s a very tight-knit community.
