STERLING – Police are asking for help finding several hub caps stolen from area parking lots a couple of weeks ago.

Between Jan. 13 and 15, police took five reports of stolen car wheel center caps from the parking lots at Bergner’s, Wal-Mart and Sauk Valley Cinema, according to a news release.

The center caps belong to two Cadillacs, two GMC Envoys and a Mercury Cougar. Some are worth about $250, Detective Sgt. Steven Hubbard said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sterling Police Sgt. Charles Bowman, 815-632-6640, or Whiteside County Crime Stoppers, 877-625-7867.
