FRANKLIN GROVE – Dennis A. Delhotal, 58, of Franklin Grove, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at SwedishAmerican Hospital, Rockford.

He was born Dec. 22, 1951, in Amboy, the son of Donald and Donna (Dewey) Delhotal.

He had farmed in the Franklin Grove area, served as China Township road commissioner for 12 years, and was a member of Franklin Grove Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He also was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dixon, and Franklin Grove Lions Club.

He was married to Jean Yingling on Dec. 13, 1975, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dixon. She survives. He also is survived by his children, Mark (Leigh) Delhotal of Franklin Grove and Stephanie (fiancé, Stuart White) Delhotal of Rochelle; his grandson, John Dennis Delhotal; and his parents, Donald and Donna Delhotal of Franklin Grove.
 Funeral service will begin with a 10 a.m. prayer service Thursday at Jones Funeral Home, Dixon, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dixon. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.

Denny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend to his family, and all who knew him.
