Rock Falls officials want to raise the capital recovery cost of the city’s electric rate by one-tenth of a cent, from .6 cents to .7 cents. The city also plans to increase electric rates by 2.5 percent for operational costs, Rock Falls Municipal Electric Director Paul Jakubczak said. The average household will see their rates increase by $1.50 a month.
The amount of the increases was incorrect in Wednesday’s paper.
A story in Wednesday’s Telegraph incorrectly identified the party affiliation of the winners in the Lee County Board District 1 primaries. David Gusse and Ann Taylor are Republicans. Rick Ketchum and Larry Eisenberg are Democrats.
