DIXON – Roseanna B. Adams, 78, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at McAllen Medical Center, McAllen, Texas. She was employed by General Electric Co., Morrison, as a machine operator for 25 years, retiring in 1988.

Roseanna was born June 9, 1931, in Sterling, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Quackenbush) Stern. She was united in marriage to Harry Adams on June 25, 1949, in Rock Falls. She attended Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Harry of Dixon; two daughters, Dianna (Jerry) Conkling of Dixon and Dawn Spencer of Sterling; two sons, Harry (Jeanne) Adams Jr. of Morrison and Curt (Jane) Adams of Sterling; one sister, Ila Mae Langley; two brothers, Orlo (Mary) Stern of Lyndon and Ralph Stern of California; seven grandchildren, Wayne (Kim) Young, Shane (Angie) Adams, Sean (Tammy) Adams, Robert Castaneda, Lynn Castaneda, Michael Spencer and Ann Spencer; and 12 great–grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Cody Robinson, Jedidiah Spencer, Jeremiah Spencer, Lee Wright, Kiyara Spencer, Ashley James, Austin Adams, Blake Adams, Derek Adams, and two more expected soon.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McDonald-Allen-Grennan Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
