ROCK FALLS – Donna Rae Hart, 61, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at CGH Medical Center.

Donna was born May 2, 1948, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of Julian C. Byers and Marie (Gillihan) Byers-Wolf. Donna grew up on the banks of the Ohio River in Rosiclaire.

She married Randy Hart on July 1, 1978, in Rock Falls.

She was employed at Kmart, Sterling, for 10 years, and Rock River Christian Center, as a secretary, for 8 years.

Survivors include her husband, Randy of Rock Falls; one son, Justin (Rachel) Hart of Bloomington; two grandsons, Brady Hart and Drew Hart of Bloomington; one brother, Kent C. (Gayanne) Byers of Rosiclaire; four nephews; three uncles; one aunt; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her half brother, Gale Byers.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rock River Christian Center, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Brian Vickers officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

A memorial has been established to the National Kidney Foundation.
