Donald Gould
ROCK FALLS – Donald F. Gould, 89, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at CGH Medical Center.
Mr. Gould was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Sterling, the son of Francis and Leona (Tompkins) Gould. He married Janet Cross on April 22, 1941, in Kirksville, Mo. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2009.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sterling.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Schwenk of Rock Falls; five sons, Donald (Lois) Gould Jr. and Paul (Susan) Gould, both of Sterling, James (Mary) Gould and Robert Gould, both of Amboy, and Mark (Susan) Gould of Rock Falls; a brother, Willard (Alice) Gould of Albany; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Shirley Gould.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Paul Judd of First United Methodist Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.
