Quilt makers thank public for support

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Bethesda quilting ladies of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison wish to thank the folks from Whiteside County and adjoining areas for all the materials, mattress pads, curtains, blankets, etc., making it possible to send 1,199 quilts this past year to Lutheran World Relief.

We thank other church ladies who help us piece and tie, Greg for boxing the quilts, and we are thankful for the truck and trailer for hauling them to Elgin. So many make this effort possible.

The quilts make shade and warmth, and are used to carry the sick. People stand in line to get a quilt when there’s been a disaster.

We are so blessed, and we thank you again.
