PAW PAW – Scott D. Torman, 57, of Paw Paw, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Mendota Community Hospital.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw, with the Rev. Dr. Anne Hoflen officiating. Burial will be at Wyoming Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church.

Scott was born on Feb. 25, 1952, in Mendota, to Robert and Janice (Keenan) Torman. He married Patricia O’Sadnick on May 11, 1979, in Mendota. He was a graduate of Paw Paw High School, Lake City College, and Worsham College of Mortuary Science.

Scott owned and operated Torman Funeral Home in Paw Paw, and worked at Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota. He also was a Lee County deputy coroner. Scott was a member of Paw Paw Chamber of Commerce, Indian Oaks Country Club, Shabbona, and Mendota Elks Lodge. He loved his family, friends, golf, and any sport that he could watch on TV.

Scott is survived by his wife, Patty of Paw Paw; three sons, Matt of Rockford, and Michael and Tyler of Batavia; one sister, Barb (Jim) Terry of Huntley; and one brother, Charles (Chris) of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Janice Torman; and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. A fund will be established in Scott’s name.

Arrangements were completed by Torman Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
