WYANET (AP) – Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway crews are cleaning up after a freight train derailed near Wyanet.

No one was injured in the derailment Saturday night.

Company spokesman Steve Forsberg said 19 cars of a 92-car freight train derailed, and plastic pellets spilled out of one car.

BNSF expected to have tracks reopened by this afternoon, Forsberg said.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation.

The derailment also affected some passenger trains. Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said the company rerouted passengers on some trains by bus, and a few trains were detoured to bypass the closed tracks.
