Kylie Brauer is a senior at Rock Falls High School. She is the daughter of Bill and Sharon Brauer. She has a brother Colten, 18. Kylie was selected as the school’s November student of the month.
Favorite class: Psychology because you learn about brains and why people have the problems they do. Biology II, because we get to go on a field trip to Northern Illinois University’s cadaver lab.
Top teacher: Mark Truesdell for psychology. I like the way he teaches. He tells you how it is and prepares you for college.
Extracurricular: Dance, student council, National Honor Society and ACE Club.
Paycheck: Subway in Rock Falls. I’m a sandwich maker and I like the people I work with.
After graduation: I’m probably going to Sauk Valley Community College to take the radiology program.
BFF: Lauren Bell, a RFHS graduate. She’s a cool person. We are alike in every single way. We both work at Subway. We like the same music, the same food, and our personalities are the same.
Hearts: Carrie Underwood, Lil’ Wayne, Megan Fox, Twilight, The Hills, swimming, and any Mexican food.
Darts: I’m afraid of spiders and snakes, Calculus is my least favorite class, and loud people and people who scream in the hallways make my blood boil.
Survival guide: Don’t get caught in drama and just do your work.
Useless knowledge: Calculus, I don’t want to use it again. It’s so hard.
Personal trivia: I skipped kindergarten.
Dream job: An actress, because I can’t act at all.
Trading places: Oprah Winfrey, it would be fun. She’s a well-respected woman and I would spend her money.
Trading spaces: I want to go to Italy. I’ve never been out of the country.

Aubree Dahler, is a senior at Rock Falls High School. She is the daughter of Loretta and Kurt Dahler. She has two sisters, Kelly Bailey, 19, and Destiny Dahler, 12. Aubree was selected the school’s October student of the month.
Favorite class: Biology II with Mindy Porter. I love to do science and learn about it every day. The topics are interesting.
Top teacher: Mark Truesdell for sociology and psychology. He makes you want to learn and succeed in college.
Extracurricular: Volleyball, dance, track, student council, Spanish Club, Character Education, ACE Club, and Key Club.
After graduation: I plan to go the pre-med route. I’ve been accepted to Millikin University and Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky., I hope to go to San Diego State. I’ve never been to a beach before. I just want to go there for the nice weather. I don’t like the winter. I want to go to California, where all the famous people are.
Hearts: The rapper Drake, Alyssa Milano, “CSI Miami,” “Knight’s Tale,” dancing, eating, working out, the game Taboo, Toaster Strudels, and grapes.
Darts: I’m afraid of June bugs, English is my least favorite class, and people eating chocolate or drinking pop for breakfast.
Survival guide: Doing your homework; as long as you do your homework, you will pass.
Useless knowledge: Imaginary numbers in math.
I’m in the dictionary next to: Energetic, because I could never stay still. I always cheer on my teammates.
Secret twin: I look like the singer Jo Jo.
Personal trivia: I had a stillborn brother 13 years ago.
Dream job: Crime scene investigator.
Trading places: Albert Einstein, I want to feel what it’s like to be as intelligent as he was.
Trading spaces: Germany. I’m a quarter German. I hear it’s a beautiful place.

Favorite class: Sociology with Mark Truesdell, because of the way he teaches the class. He prepares you for real life or college.
Extracurricular: Dance team, basketball for 3 years and track for 2 years, ACE Club, Key Club, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society.
After graduation: I hope to attend Bradley University in Peoria and study pharmacy or something else in the medical field.
Paycheck: A sandwich maker a Subway in Rock Falls. It’s easy and fun.
BFF: Jenni Mitchell, a freshman at Western Illinois University. She’s straightforward and funny.
Hearts: Rascal Flatts, The Notebook, reading, running, basketball, and Mexican food.
Darts: Failing is my biggest fear, calculus is my least favorite class, and when people lie, it makes my blood boil.
Survival guide: Doing your homework every day.
I’m in the dictionary next to: Smart, because I always do my homework.
Personal trivia: I had heart surgery my sophomore year, because I had ventricular tachycardia.
Dream job: President, because I would have a whole bunch of power and you would be able to do what you want.
Trading places: My mom, to see if my family was a pain to her.
Trading spaces: Some big tropical island, because it would be very relaxing.
