Laura Hansen
MOUNT MORRIS – Laura Louise Hansen, 98, of Mount Morris, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Pinecrest Terrace, Mount Morris. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hansen was born Oct. 21, 1911, in Scott County, Iowa, the daughter of August and Anna Drechsler. She married Donald Gerhard Hansen of Cordova on June 18, 1935. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2005, in Kewanee.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Brown of Dixon; a son, Paul (Bonnie) Hansen of Urbana; a sister, Mabel of Bettendorf, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by six siblings.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Polo United Methodist Church, with Sally Chipman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at South Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee, with Paul Hansen, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Polo Family Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established to Pinecrest Community, Mount Morris.
