AMBOY – Justin T. Larson, 17, of Amboy, died Friday, Dec.11, 2009, at home. He was a junior at Amboy High School.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1992, in Sterling, the son of Mark and Lisa (Latta) Larson. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, and swim. 

He also enjoyed hanging out with the guys at the cabin. He loved the ocean.

He is survived by his parents, Mark (Jamie) Larson of Amboy, and Lisa (Thomas) Moravec of Hampton, Iowa; four stepsisters, Kayla and Emily Morse, and Kyla and Ashlyn Moravec;   grandparents, Ruth and Steve Brown of Harmon; Penny Latta of Gainesville, Fla., Ann (Arnold) Eaton of Hamilton, Mont., and Cathy Kanady of Cedar Point; great-grandparents, Barbara Deem of Fruitland Park, Fla., Doris Albrecht of Donaldson, Ind., Anna Larson of Dixon, and Bessie Brown of Tampico; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James in infancy; grandfathers, Edward Larson and Wayne Latta; great-grandparents Gail Larson, Don and Teny Latta, Floyd Albrecht, Glenn Deem, and Arden Brown.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Amboy, with the Rev. Carl Beekman, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Harmon. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home, Amboy.

A memorial has been established.
