Christmas crooners - STERLING – The Rock River Valley Barbershop Chorus’ sixth annual Christmas show is 2 p.m. Sunday at Sterling High School’s Centennial Auditorium.
It features area high school barbershoppers; tickets are $5.
Holiday bazaar - ROCK FALLS – St. Andrew Parish and School, 701 11th Ave., Rock Falls, is having a 2-day bazaar, featuring crafts, gifts, and a silent auction.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Seasonal Sights and Sounds - STERLING – Sterling’s annual Christmas celebration continues tonight with a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30 at the downtown Grandon Civic Center, followed by a parade.
“It’s A Wonderful Life,” a free live radio play, will be performed at 8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 410 Second Ave.
Then, from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, the Twin City Market will hold a holiday open house.
At 6 p.m. that evening comes the Fluid Expressions art show at Woodlawn Arts Academy.
“It’s A Wonderful Life” will be performed at 8 again that night, and finally at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Craft show, homes tour - MILLEDGEVILLE – A craft show will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Milledgeville High School, where vendors will sell baked goods, jewelry, candles and more.
There’s also a walk of homes dressed up for the holidays, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Christmas Walk - MOUNT CARROLL – The Mount Carroll Christmas Walk and Holiday Tour of Homes runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
There will be strolling Dickens characters, pictures with Santa, roasted chestnuts, horse-drawn wagon rides, special Christmas sales, and a tour of eclectic homes decorated for the season.
The homes tour runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 at the Carroll County Senior Center, 306 N. Main St.

Hospice Holiday Tour of Homes - DIXON – The annual Holiday Tour of Homes, a fundraiser for Hospice of the Rock River Valley, runs from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Five area homeowners will open their doors so the public can enjoy their holiday decorations.
Tickets are $20 at the hospice, 264 state Route 2 in Dixon, or at the homes the day of the tour.
Beans, Books and Beliefs in downtown Sterling also will be open from noon to 5 p.m., serving refreshments; attendees can register for a prize drawing.

Holiday happenings - FULTON – The Fulton Christmas Walk runs downtown from 5 to 7 tonight. There will be live reindeer, free wagon rides, a chance to chat with Santa, a puppet show, carolers, live music and even a visit by the ole green Grinch himself.
There’s also a 2-mile run/walk; register at 5:30 p.m. at Manny’s Too; the run/walk begins at 6.
On Saturday, have breakfast with Santa from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Fulton Fire Department’s new station, then from 4 to 8 p.m., take a free stroll through the illuminated Heritage Canyon.

Santa arrives at KSB - DIXON – Dixon’s 21st annual Christmas Walk begins tonight as Santa arrives at KSB Hospital at 6 for a tree-lighting ceremony.
At 7 p.m., an ice sculpture will be created at the Riverfront, and downtown business will offer specials and giveaways, and there will be horse and carriage rides, caroling and more until 9 p.m.
On Saturday, have breakfast and pictures with Santa at the Post House Ballroom, stroll the Dixon Lioness Club craft show, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Loveland Community House, and enjoy the Dixon Municipal Band concert at 7 p.m. at the Historic Dixon Theatre.

Tour Christmas past at the Dillon Home - STERLING – The annual Dillon Home Museum Christmas Walk returns this weekend.
Tours of the lavishly decorated 1858 Italianate are offered at 10 and 11 a.m., 1, 2, and 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday.
Tours are at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $2.50 for adults, $1.50 for ages 60 and older, and free for ages 12 and younger.

Tuscany comes to Prophetstown - PROPHETSTOWN – The Tuscany Christmas Charity Auction and Wine Tasting begins at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Prophetstown Jailhouse banquet hall, 75 Grove St.
The event starts with wine tasting from Rocky Waters Winery of Hanover, Hailey’s Winery of Byron, and Wide River Winery of Clinton, Iowa.
The Giving Tree auction begins at 6 p.m. Items include holiday gift baskets, a decorated tree and wreaths. Voting for a favorite requires a canned good for the town’s food pantry.
There also will be a silent auction of handcrafted jewelry, wine bottle cheese trays and Norfolk pines.
Advanced tickets are $20 for eight samplings, a complimentary wine glass and appetizers and are available at Hardware Hank, 317 Washington St. Tickets are $25 at the door.
