ROCK FALLS – A Mega Millions lottery ticket worth a cool 250,000 clams was sold Tuesday at Express Lane, 1111 U.S. Route 30, state lottery officials said in a news release.

The name of the new quarter-of-a-millionaire was not yet known Thursday.

The ticket was one of two winning second-place Mega Millions tickets sold in Illinois; the other was sold in Waukegan. No one won the $37 million jackpot, which rolls over to an estimated $47 million for tonight’s drawing.

The second-place winners matched all five numbers, but missed the Mega Ball.

The winning numbers were 10, 11, 34, 37 and 50 with a Mega Ball number of 12.

Mega Millions tickets are sold in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
