Haye leads Marcos to tourney win

Julie Haye poured in 20 points to lead Polo to a 38-28 win over West Carroll at the Oregon Tip-Off Tournament Wednesday night.

Katelyn Grobe added 11 points for the Marcos, who led 14-12 at the half before outscoring the Thunder 11-0 in the third quarter to build a 25-12 advantage.

Aliesha Handel paced West Carroll with eight points.

Milledgeville 55, Hall 23: The Missiles ran out to a 20-6 lead after one quarter and was up 30-9 at the half.

Keali Engelkens led the way for Milledgeville with 16 points. Andrea Herin pitched in with 12 points, and Alexis DawTyne added 10.

Annawan 59, Erie 32: Kelly Buresh scorched the nets for 29 points to lead Annawan past the Cardinals.

Annawan pulled out to a 25-7 advantage after the first quarter.

Katelyn Griffin and Kara Snowden scored nine points apiece to pace Erie.

Stillman Valley 42, Dixon 27: Liz Greenwalt and Holly Nicklaus each had eight points for the Duchesses in a home loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.
