Jaime Rehmert scored 15 points as the Sterling Golden Warriors improved to 2-0 with a 60-27 win on Tuesday in Morrison.

Lauren Hernandez scored 12 points for Sterling. Christie Wiersema led Morrison (0-2) with 11 points.

Pearl City 51, Milledgeville 37: The Missiles started the season with a tough loss in Pearl City.

Andrea Herin scored all nine of her points in the first half to lead Milledgeville (0-1). Keali Engelkens added eight points.

Kelsie Kluck led Pearl City with 13 points.

Bureau Valley 70, Putnam County 9: The Storm were dominant in the opening game of the Bureau Valley Tournament.

Lauren Hasbrook and Melanie Thompson both scored 15 points for Bureau Valley (1-0). Torri Peterson added 11 points and Sam Nearhing had 10.

Faith Christian 30, North Love Baptist 29 (2 OT): Parker Ortgiesen had 22 points and Amanda Smith added eight to account for all of the Falcons’ scoring in a double overtime victory in Rockford.

Ortgiesen also had six rebounds and five steals and Julia Sofolo added nine rebounds for Faith Christian (1-0).

Amanda Shaner led North Love with 12 points.
