Janet Gould
ROCK FALLS – Janet J. Gould, 86, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at CGH Medical Center after a short illness.
Mrs. Gould was born April 11, 1923, in Rochelle, the daughter of Clarence and Nettie (Mowry) Cross. She married Donald F. Gould on April 23, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sterling.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Schwenk of Rock Falls; five sons, Donald (Lois) Gould Jr. and Paul (Susan) Gould, both of Sterling, Robert Gould and James (Mary) Gould, both of Amboy, and Mark (Susan) Gould of Rock Falls; a sister, Nancy Cross of Chandler, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Paul Judd, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.
