MORRISON – Helen G. Stern, 93, of Morrison, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison. She farmed with her husband in the rural Morrison area until 1981.

Mrs. Stern was born July 26, 1916, in Morrison, the daughter of Henry and Hulda (Stralow) Rosenow. She married Ernest W. “Bud” Stern on March 16, 1934, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1998.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling.

Survivors include three daughters, Marlene (Dick) Ottens, Mary (Mike) Beswick, and Debbie (Gary) Heusinkveld, all of Morrison; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Stern; a sister, Emma Bomgartz; and three brothers, Carl, Alvin, and Ernest Rosenow.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling. Burial will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison.

A memorial has been established.
