Lee County Sheriff

Alan J. Davison, 23, Rockford; 12:35 a.m. Saturday; driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana; given notice to appear.

Vern R. Williams, 52, Sterling; 2:12 a.m. Saturday; outstanding warrant – contempt; held on a $2,600 bond.

Sterling Police

Fabian Miniel, 20, of Rock Island; 3:44 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of East Fourth Street; Rock Island County warrant – robbery; taken to Whiteside County Jail. Also arrested was Mercedez Simmons, 19, of Clinton, Iowa; driving with a suspended driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle; given notice to appear in court.

Vern Williams; 52, of Sterling; 11:55 p.m. Friday; Lee County warrant – contempt; taken to Lee County Jail.

Robert Sandoval, 39, of Rochelle; 11:20 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Third Street; driving with a suspended driver’s license; given notice to appear in court.
