It’s time to stop burning leaves

I would like to join Julie Gordon in her request to ban leaf burning in Rock Falls.
It’s time!
When you can’t enjoy the weather outside or even be comfortable inside your home because the smell is so irritating – it’s time!
When you find yourself driving down a side street through a heavy smoke screen that could be potentially dangerous because you can’t see what’s out there – it’s time!
When you think of all the people who have COPD or any respiratory problem, as well as children with asthma who have difficulty breathing because of burning, smoldering leaves – it’s time!
When you want to have understanding and compassion for others – it’s time!
