Veterans Day was a memorable one

The honor and color guard were very impressive, and the speakers did a nice job of thanking our veterans, men and women. The Whiteside County deputy sheriff was represented, and the chaplain said a prayer.

Thanks, Rock Falls, for Veterans Park and the people who came out to pledge allegiance and make it a memorable day. Also, thanks to the home-schooled kids who took out time to come.

On another subject, both of us suffer from respiratory problems and ask for banning of leaf burning in Rock Falls.
