Holiday shopping events offered

LANARK – Carroll County businesses will offer special holiday shopping opportunities Friday and Saturday during the Holiday Shop Hop in Lanark and Mount Carroll.

Twenty locations will offer items such as jewelry, quilts, glass art and beads, soaps, candles, paintings, wood crafts, hand-carved rocking horses, wreathes, ornaments, furniture, antiques, used books, pet items, and music. Food and desserts also will be available.

There will be three drawings for gift baskets. Register at Prairie Path Sampler, 1002 Lowden Road, Mount Carroll; the Hollow Fencepost, 104 N. Argyle St., Lanark; and Lanark United Methodist Church, 405 E. Locust St.

In addition, the Savanna Woman’s Club’s annual craft fair is Saturday at West Carroll Primary School, 2215 Wacker Road.
