Biblical leadership lessons not dated

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

When God placed Moses, Joshua and Solomon in leadership positions, he magnified them in the eyes of the people.

This teaches timeless leadership principles we can benefit from today.

n The spotlight makes leaders appear larger, but leaders should know they are the same. If we are the same and leadership does not suddenly make us bigger and better than others, we should be humble.

n If God magnified them, their flaws were under greater scrutiny. Leaders were subject to examination. They were not exempt from criticism. Examination should reveal quality as well as humanity.

n The magnifier can be removed. God removed people from positions of power. Leaders must recognize that holding power is something they are trusted with, not a right.

n The magnifier helps the observer see well. God designed principles of leadership to benefit those who choose leaders, not to enrich those who hold benefit from the trust of others.
