STERLING – Host families are being sought for international students during the Rock River Valley International Fellowship’s Thanksgiving events, Nov. 25 to 29.

The students, ages 19 to 50, are from Chicago-area universities. They will arrive at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and stay through 2 p.m. Nov. 29. They may include couples and families.

Host families are free to have the student with them on Thanksgiving, while Nov. 27 can be spent sightseeing, or families who work on Nov. 27 can have another family take their student for the day.

An international buffet, candle lighting ceremony, and dance will be held at Woodlawn Arts Academy on Nov. 28.

There’s an orientation meeting for host families Nov. 22.
