Lee County candidates file for February primary

The filing deadline for the Feb. 2 primary was 5 p.m. Monday. Here are the Lee County candidates running to represent their parties, and precinct committeemen seeking election in the primary.

Clerk – Republican Cathy Myers.

Sheriff – Republican incumbent John Varga.

Treasurer – Republican incumbent John Fritts.

County Board District 1 – Democratic incumbents Rick Ketchum and Larry Eisenberg; and Republicans David Gusse and Ann C. Taylor.

County Board District 2 – Republican incumbents Gerald Leffelman, James Seeburg, Lisa Zeimetz and Richard “Dick” Binder.

County Board District 3 – Republican incumbents Michael Farster, Robert Stevens and Art Tofte; and Republicans David J. Blaine and Edward D. Fritts.

County Board District 4 – Republican incumbents Tom Demmer and James Wentling, and Republicans Harold “Hal” Moroney and Joe Patzer.

Regional Superintendent of Schools – Republican incumbent Amy Jo Clemens of Dixon.

Amboy 2 – Democratic incumbent Larry Eisenberg.

Amboy 3 – Republican incumbent Larry Morgan; and Democrats Dennis McCoy and Kasey D. Considine.

Dixon 1 – Democratic incumbent Gregory L. Witzleb Sr. and Democrat Daniel Burke.

Dixon 2 – Republicans Robert Stevens and incumbent Gary Presley; and Democrat Michael R. Lahey.

Dixon 3 – Republican incumbent Michael Farster.

Dixon 4 – Republican incumbent Cathy Myers.
