OREGON – Donna M. Brantner, 71, of Oregon, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Serenity House, Oregon. 

Donna was born April 8, 1938, in Elmhurst, the daughter of Frank and Ruth Bolwahnn. She graduated from Oregon High School in 1956, and attended Beloit College. Donna loved volunteering for Rescue Every Dog in Washington. 

Survivors include her children, Julia Tracy of Nashville, Tenn., Lauri (David) Rottmayer of Bartlesville, Okla., Rebecca (Dan) Costie of Battle Creek, Mich., and Jon (Kathy) Sheats of Dixon; her sister, Bonnie (Andy) Hinkle of Oregon; her grandchildren, Brandon and Geoffrey Rottmayer, Ben and Mike Sheats, and Victoria and Ryan Brantner; and her second former husband, Ron Brantner of Port Townsend, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first former husband, John Sheats.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bride’s Episcopal Church, Oregon.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Rockford. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Ogle County Hospice, Rescue Every Dog, and St. Bride’s Church, Oregon.
